In our modern culture, it is hard to imagine life without technology. Everyone has some form of tool or device that they use on a daily basis. Even with this, there are many people who need accommodations for their disabilities in order to use said tools. When technical design meets people's needs, it helps everyone.
It is also beneficial for businesses to ensure that their website design meets the most accommodations as it is likely that people will sign off a website that is difficult to use. Thus more and more businesses are hiring a team such as UX and UI designers to ensure that their product reaches the most amount of people possible.

Many companies have started using inclusive software and have found it to significantly improve customer experience (“Improving Usability and Accessibility Benefits Everyone”) . Some of these improvements include things like:
- Screen contrast
- Closed captioning
- Virtual assistants
- Talking devices
They have found it to significantly improve customer experience thus increasing sales and revenue.
Legislation
Not only is it good to have technology be more accessible some laws help people who need the extra help.
Section 255 of the Communications Act requires telecommunication products to be available to those in need. The Assistive Technology Act of 1998 provides grants for State programs that address the assistive technology needs of individuals with disabilities.
Not only is it a good act to do but more and more legislations are coming out as the demand for more accessibility rises.
